I’m starting the list strong with the G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM kit that provides incredible value, performance, and looks. Starting with the performance, the kit has a 6,000MHz frequency and CAS timings of CL30-38-38-96. Personally, I believe the 10ns latency could be a bit tighter on this kit, but otherwise, it’s pretty decent. During our dedicated testing, the RAM kit averaged 80,060MB/s in AIDA64 Engineer, winning against many competitors.

You can also easily overclock the G.Skill Trident Z by increasing the frequency by 200MHz without changing its CL timings. We would have loved to tighten the timings more, but the tRAS timings wouldn’t go lower without increasing the voltage, which wasn’t worth it. Besides its performance, the kit doesn’t fall behind in the looks department. For example, it provides a sleek and futuristic design with its aluminum-brushed heatsink, making it fit gloriously in almost all PC builds.

PRO TIP: Always overclock your RAM in smaller increments to ensure stability. If you increase the frequency too much, you might get a BSOD or crash the PC.

While the CL30 timings and 10ns latency are pretty decent, the RAM kit could be tightened to 9.7ns or 9.8ns, improving overall performance. However, not even overclocking the kit tightens the timings.

According to our in-depth reviews, 6,400MHz is the sweet spot for the Ryzen 9000 series processors, so you won’t have to spend too much to get the best performance without leaving anything on the table. If so, the G.Skill Trident Z Royal Neo 32GB DDR5 6,000MHz RAM kit is where you should be eyeing yourself. You’re getting the lowest latency from any product in this listicle, at 9.33ns. The frequency is pretty standard, ranging at 6,000MHz. However, that doesn’t stop it from obliterating its competition in our performance benchmarks. To explain, it averaged 81,890MB/s write speeds in AIDA64 Engineer.

What differentiates this RAM kit from its competition isn’t its performance and glamorous aesthetics. When you take it out of the box, you’ll realize why it has a premium price tag. The RGB diffuser at the top comes with a crystalline lightbar with electroplated heat spreaders and a mirrored finish, improving the kit’s already amazing aesthetics. The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 6,000MHz DDR5 RAM kit perfectly complements a white PC build with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I’ll cover its performance first. With a 6,000MHz frequency, you get a decent 10ns latency, making its on-paper specifications pretty standard. However, our testing showed a different story when the kit averaged 81,437MB/s write speeds in AIDA64 Engineer. We didn’t overclock the kit, but you can try tightening the timings to see a performance improvement.

For its aesthetics, the Corsair Dominator Platinum is clad in white with beautiful RGB lighting at the top cover. To make things interesting, you can remove and replace the top cover with another design based on how you want the kit to look. Of course, the RGB is easily customizable through the iCUE software, so you don’t have to worry about that aspect. What I dislike about this kit, though, is its height. Reigning at 56mm tall, the kit can pose a threat if you use a beefy air cooler.

Don’t worry; the Corsair Vengeance RGB 6,000MHz 32GB DDR5 RAM kit has your back (and pockets) secured with its amazing price-to-performance ratio. In our dedicated testing, the Corsair Vengeance was almost on par with the Corsair Dominator Platinum, averaging 81,393MB/s write speeds in AIDA64 Engineer. Coincidentally, the frequency and latency timings are similar, so the temperatures must be causing the difference in performance.

Unlike the Dominator Platinum, the Corsair Vengeance has bad overclocking potential, and this is where the actual difference between the two kits starts. We could only increase its frequency by 133MHz by increasing the voltage to 1.435V. Other than that, though, the Vengeance is amazing in all aspects. You get a decent heatsink design, cool A-RGB lighting on the top cover, and Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO support.

EXPO: Like Intel’s XMP feature, EXPO is AMD’s variant. It allows users to overclock RAM kits according to their pre-configured settings with higher frequency and lower latencies.
DIMM Slots: These are slots next to the CPU socket on the motherboard where RAM kits are installed. Depending on their size, most motherboards have two to four slots. Before installing, look through your motherboard’s manual to determine the fastest DIMM channels for optimum performance.
Frequency: A RAM kit’s frequency means how fast it can send data to a CPU. Frequencies are measured in Megahertz (MHz) or Gigahertz (GHz). Most DDR5 RAM kits start from 5,600MHz; high-end kits can exceed 9,000MHz. Generally, higher frequency means greater performance, but tight CL timings are equally important.
CAS Latency: Abbreviated as Column Address Strobe latency or CL timings, CAS latency shows the time required for a RAM kit to make data available, which the CPU requested. In terms of performance, the Trident Z5 Neo offers 6,000MHz frequency with CL30 timings. During my gaming tests with the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, all the maps loaded almost instantly at 1440p and 4K resolutions, showcasing the RAM’s outstanding speed.

Aside from its performance, the RAM kit also offers decent overclocking potential. In my overclocking tests, I easily increased the RAM’s frequency to 7,000MHz without changing the voltage or lowering the latency. However, you can do so if you feed more power to the RAM kit.

If you want to pair your Ryzen 7 7800X3D with the most performance-packed DDR5 kit, I highly recommend you go with the Corsair Dominator Titanium. First up, it is hands-down one of the most beautiful and sleek-looking kits I have ever used. The design of its aluminium cover is completely different from any other kit. Plus, the raw performance, thanks to AMD EXPO, is unparalleled. With a solid 7,200MHz frequency, CL34 timing, and an impressively low 9.44ns latency, the Dominator Titanium beautifully complements the hardcore performance of the 7800X3D – leaving no room for any compromises.

Honestly, if you want the best performance out of the box with no manual tweaking, I doubt there is any RAM that can top the Corsair Dominator Titanium, especially with those looks. However, I have to say, apart from the steep pricing, it also has pretty much no overclocking potential.

When our very own Nauman Siddiqui took it for a spin, he could only get it to 7600MHz at a whopping 1.52V, so don’t expect much overclocking support. Still, hear it in his own words:

The G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5 RAM kit showcases a simple design, excluding RGB, making it a difficult fit for better-lit PC builds. However, I loved that the RAM kit utilizes a honeycomb design to prevent thermal throttling, providing better overclocking potential. The 6,000MHz frequency with CL30 timings offers great performance. During my performance testing at 1440p and 4K resolutions, I saw no issues in video editing and gaming at max settings.

Of course, I can’t just recommend a DDR5 RAM without overclocking it. Well, we got it to 6600MHz @ 1.42V. Since the timing remains tight at CL30, the latency is reduced to 9.09ns. While these are good numbers, it’s not the ideal RAM for overclocking due to the low-profile heat spreader. Nevertheless, the AMD EXPO support that makes it clock at 6000MHz is still quite good for the 7800X3D.

If your day-to-day usage exceeds the 32GB capacity of my other recommended picks, I suggest you go with the CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 64GB instead. Despite the high capacity, the kit does not compromise on performance one bit to offer the best gaming experience possible. It clocks at 6,000MHz while maintaining a CL30 latency, and in all my tests, the kit ran flawlessly.

With the RGB lightbar on top and a white heat spreader, it also nails the aesthetics department. But most impressively, I love its overclocking potential. Sure, you get plenty of performance with AMD EXPO @ 6,000MHz, but in our in-house testing, we got the kit rocking at a solid 6,800MHz with CL36 latency @ 1.45V. In synthetic benchmarks, we saw a good 10%+ difference in read/write operations.

You don’t want to spend top-dollar: The only reason you should not buy this RAM is if you’re on a budget and want something more affordable. Sure, the Vengeance RGB has the performance and the looks, but it is also rather expensive.

There are several reasons why I picked the Corsair Vengeance RGB for this award: It looks beautiful, can be overclocked, runs very stable, and, in all my tests, offers great performance. Plus, while it is an expensive kit, it is not an overpriced RAM. It more than makes up for the pricing with its extensive features.

Right off the bat, the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 6000 CL30’s stunning design is what stood out to me the most. The kit uses a dual-tone accent on its heatsink, with the white stripes adding to the appeal. RGB is also well-integrated with the RGB bar spanning across the entire module. In our tests, the kit managed to perform really well thanks to its 6000 MHz speed and the CAS30 latency.

The latency, as measured in nanoseconds, comes in at 10ns, which is a respectable figure. You can use our RAM latency calculator to measure the latency (in nanoseconds) of any DDR5 kit. I found the overclocking potential to be fairly reasonable as well, allowing you to take the module up to 6200 MHz without changing any of the timings. Naturally, a voltage increase is going to be required for these kinds of overclocks.

The G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 has a fairly simple look, with a plain black heat spreader that consists of little to no design elements. RGB is also entirely absent, although I found that perforations have been added to the right side of the heat spreader for better thermal performance. I was happy to see that its height only comes in at 33mm, which makes it ideal for small form factor builds.

Despite the simple design, the RAM kit packs fantastic performance, with a speed of 6000 MHz and a CL30 latency, which translates to exactly 10 nanoseconds. Overclocking headroom is also present, with the kit allowing for speeds of up to 6200 MHz with a slight voltage uplift. That only nets a small performance increase for most modern systems; however, it is nice to see that you can go up to that range.

If pure performance is what you are after, then I won’t recommend any other module apart from the XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB 7200 MHz CL34. The kit runs at a speed of 7200 MHz with CL34 timings at a rated voltage of 1.4V. The low 9.44ns latency essentially guarantees top-notch performance, with the overclocking headroom further adding to that. Speaking of which, we were able to push the kit all the way up to 7200 MHz in our dedicated overclocking tests.

Apart from the performance figures, I am a fan of the XPG Lancer RGB’s overall design. You get a 10-layer PCB, matte-black brushed aluminum heatsink, and RGB lighting. Despite the addition of a fairly large diffuser on top, I noticed that the kit isn’t too tall either, measuring in at a height of 40mm. Adata also provides a limited lifetime warranty with the kit, which is a welcome addition.

For enthusiasts who want the best performance possible, I would recommend the Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5. Not only does it keep up with the performance side of things, but it is also one of the better-looking modules I have seen in a while. It comes with a striking aluminum cover as well as sleek RGB lighting that runs across the entirety of the module’s length. Additionally, Corsair has given users the ability to swap out the top RGB cover for a custom one.

Using EXPO, the RAM can operate at a frequency of 7200 MHz while providing CL34 timings at 1.45V. The 9.44ns latency is great to see on higher-end kits, with the RAM showcasing solid results in our dedicated performance tests. We weren’t too impressed by the overclocking potential since the module only reached 7600 MHz, that too with a voltage increase of 1.52V. That said, out-of-the-box performance is already more than enough for most use cases.

Both colors seamlessly transition along a diagonal line. Topping all of that off is a fairly low-profile 8-zone RGB bar on top, which gives the RAM the extra visual flair.

Performance: I was impressed by the performance provided by the G.Skill Trident Z Neo thanks to its rated speed of 3600 MHz at 1.35V and the low 8.8ns latency. Furthermore, its tight CL16 timings guarantee solid real-world performance in both gaming and productivity applications.

Overclocking Potential: While the G.Skill Trident Z Neo’s performance is more than adequate, I found that room for overclocking is also present, allowing users to get speeds of 4200 MHz at 1.45V. Of course, going past 4000 MHz will mean slightly loose timings; however, the performance increase is remarkable.

Design: The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro’s design is fairly straightforward, coming enveloped in a black coating. The top side of the heat spreader has triangular cut-outs and an RGB bar. While the modules are fairly tall, coming in at a height of 51mm, I am pleased with the overall appearance.

Performance: In terms of performance, the Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 64GB does not leave a lot to be desired, offering a speed of 3600 MHz and a latency of 10ns. Its higher capacity of 64GB combined with its timings of 18-22-22-42 at 1.35V, make it suitable for creative tasks such as video editing as well as gaming.

Overclocking Potential: Even with the voltage set to 1.45V, I noticed that the overclocking potential is very limited with the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 64GB, which isn’t a dealbreaker in my books, considering the kit’s already great performance. On the other hand, tightening the timings down is possible with a voltage increase.

The RAM kit comes with a 5,600MHz frequency, CL36 timings, and a slower 12.8ns latency. On paper, these specifications look slow, but during my gaming tests, the RAM did not bottleneck the Ryzen 9 7900X CPU at all, and I felt no stutters during loading times or while video rendering.

Talking about its overclocking potential, the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB showcases decent overclocking capabilities. During my testing, I managed to get a 500MHz boost by increasing the voltage by 0.25V. If you increase the voltage more, you may be able to tighten the timings as well.

The TEAMGROUP Elite 32GB DDR5 RAM kit doesn’t have a heatsink and offers an old-fashioned design that is not loved by many gamers. However, even without the heat spreader, the kit doesn’t thermal throttle at all, making it a great value edition RAM. The kit has a 4,800MHz frequency, high CL40 timings and extra slow 16.6ns latencies. During my performance tests, the RAM modules didn’t bottleneck the Ryzen 9 7900X CPU in games, but the kit did take significantly longer in CPU-intensive tasks.

Going towards its overclocking potential, the TEAMGROUP Elite DDR5 RAM kit allows slight overclocking. During my testing, I managed to get a 400MHz boost by increasing the voltage to 1.30V. Changing the CL timings made the RAM unstable, so I wouldn’t recommend doing so, either.

Not only that, but the overall design, logo, and feel of the RAM give off a beautiful and aggressive vibe. I also loved the RAM’s build quality, showcasing an aluminum heatsink for better thermals. Going towards its performance, the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo offers a decent 6,000MHz frequency with tight CL30 timings and a low 10ns latency. During my performance tests, the RAM kit offered outstanding performance at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, loading maps in games almost instantly.

Outside of its AMD EXPO-enabled performance, the RAM kit also has impressive overclocking capabilities. During my testing, I managed to increase the frequency by 600MHz with a detrimental 0.75V increment. I couldn’t manage to change the CAS timings during the tests.

The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM kit is truly a treat to look at. The RAM features a very distinct minimalistic design philosophy that the 12x Capellix RGB LEDs further ascend. I also loved the RAM’s build quality with the white aluminum heatsink, which also improves its thermals. Going towards its performance, the RAM provides an average 5,600MHz frequency with slightly loose CL36 timings and a slower 12.8ns latency. During my performance testing, the RAM didn’t bottleneck the Ryzen 5 7600X at all, nor did it stutter in any games at 1440p and 1080p resolutions.

The RAM has decent overclocking potential which improves its overall performance considerably. During my testing, I managed to increase the frequency by 500MHz by increasing the voltage by 0.25V. You may also be able to tighten the timings by increasing the voltage more.

WARNING: Before making the purchase, make sure you have enough RAM clearance with your air cooler unless you won’t be able to fit the RAM.

The G.Skill Flare X5 Series looks rather good with its matte black body, racing stripes, and grills. However, I disliked that the RAM kit doesn’t offer any RGB and looks plain in that sense. Also, the honeycomb design allows for better thermals, disallowing the RAM kit from thermal throttling even when overclocked. Going towards its performance, the RAM kit comes with a decent 6,000MHz frequency, CAS timings of CL36 and a decent 12ns latency. During my performance testing, the G.Skill Flare X5 did not bottleneck or stutter the Ryzen 5 7600X CPU even once while gaming.

Keeping its price in sight, the RAM kit offers impressive overclocking performance. During my overclocking tests, I increased the frequency by 500MHz with a 0.05V increment. I did not change the CAS timings, but you can attempt to do so by increasing the voltage input.

Design: The Patriot Signature Line 32GB DDR5 RAM kit looks just like an old-fashioned RAM with its exposed black PCB. Of course, the low price makes it obvious that there is no RGB whatsoever. While I didn’t like the RAM’s design, there’s no room to complain because of its low price.

Performance: Moving to its performance, the RAM offers a slow 4,800MHz frequency, loose CL40 timings, and a slow 16.6ns latency. However, during my performance tests, the RAM did not bottleneck the Ryzen 5 7600X CPU at all and showed decent performance even at 1440p resolution.

Overclocking Potential: The RAM kit offers slight overclocking potential, and during my testing, I achieved a 300MHz frequency boost with a 0.15V increment. I did not try to change the CAS timings, but you can attempt to do so by increasing the voltage further.

The Patriot Signature Line 32GB DDR5 RAM kit doesn’t have much to offer in terms of aesthetics. For starters, the RAM doesn’t feature a heatsink, providing an old aesthetic. Naturally, it doesn’t have any RGB either. I loved that the RAM has a low-profile build for better RAM clearance. In terms of performance, the RAM comes with a 4,800MHz frequency, high CL40 timings, and a slow 16.6ns latency. However, during my testing, the RAM did not bottleneck the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X CPU and offered decent gaming performance at 1440p resolution.

While it doesn’t seem so, the RAM kit offers slight overclocking capabilities. During my testing, I managed to increase the frequency by 300MHz with a 0.15V increment. I did not try to change the CAS timings, but you could do so by increasing the voltage input.

Moreover, I loved the translucent RGB bar that takes the aesthetics to the next level. The RAM kit shows impressive performance without needing any manual overclocking, with RAM speeds up to 6,000MHz. Moreover, the 10ns latency proved immensely fast in my gaming tests, allowing the RAM to load larger maps without any problems.

With its impressive stock performance, the RAM kit also shows decent overclocking potential but requires a lot of voltage to do so. During my overclocking tests, I managed to increase the frequency by 600MHz but had to increase the voltage by 0.5V to achieve the result.

Also, the dual DIMM slot kit makes it perfect for smaller PC cases. However, I disliked that the RAM does not offer any RGB, making it look simple. The RAM kit undoubtedly has outstanding performance because of its RAM size and memory speeds. During my testing, I could complete CPU-intensive tasks such as video rendering much quicker than with other RAM kits. Moreover, I also noticed a spike in FPS during my gaming tests.

Outside of its stock performance, the Kingston Fury Beast RAM kit also offers impressive overclocking potential, allowing users to go all-out with manual overclocking. I managed to gain a decent 900MHz boost and tightened the 12ns latency timings to 10ns for faster operations.

PRO TIP: If you’re attempting to overclock the RAM, ensure you have enough cooling to keep the RAM’s temperatures stable. It is also advised to lower the CAS timings to keep the overclock stable.

I installed the darker RAM kit to complement my build and loved the RGB light bar throughout the RAM sticks. The RAM kit showcases outstanding gaming performance with its 6,600MHz frequency and tight CL34-40-40-105 timings. The Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM kit looks out of this world with its distinct dual-tone design philosophy. Personally, we loved the RAM’s RGB light bar at the top that goes all the way from one end to another and complements the stick’s design. The RAM kit offers outstanding stock performance with the Ryzen 9 7950X, allowing for hardcore gaming at 4K resolution. During our dedicated gaming tests, we saw no bottlenecking issues and found the 6,000MHz frequency to be the sweet spot for the CPU.

During our overclocking tests, we achieved a decent 600MHz boost without changing the CL timings. We did, however, increase the voltage to 1.40V to achieve the results, but the overclocks were stable throughout the testing.
